Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna in Green Bay, WI

Our full-spectrum Infrared Saunas combine the beneficial infrared rays with therapeutic visible color light therapy or chromotherapy in every session. Most importantly, by eliminating the sun’s troublesome, harmful UV rays, we provide a safe, restorative sweat session that will leave you rejuvenated.

An Amplify series sauna gets hotter, heats fast and delivers the detox, cardio and recovery benefits of Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon® infrared. The Amplify II delivers what its name promises because of the unique full spectrum heaters. Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon® far infrared heaters penetrate deep tissue as the halogen heaters push the air temp up to 165 degrees F, all with Sunlighten’s proprietary design that produces virtually no EMFs.

Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna at Indiglo Med Spa in Green Bay, WI

The SoloCarbon® 3-in-1 heater has clinically shown to effectively administer three wavelengths; near, mid, and far.  Near, mid, and far infrared waves penetrate the skin, muscles, joints, and tissues to increase circulation, speed oxygen flow, and help rid the body of harmful toxins. Using our infrared saunas helps to remove impurities from your cells, specifically the cells inside our fat where our body stores waste and harmful toxins such as cholesterol and heavy metals.

NEAR INFRARED

Near infrared (NIR) is the shortest wavelength and penetrates the skin’s surface more effectively than the other two. NIR promotes cell health, wound healing, and tissue growth.

MID INFRARED

Mid infrared (MIR) is a longer wavelength that can penetrate deeper into the body’s soft tissue where inflammation occurs. MIR helps expand blood vessels and increases circulation, so more oxygen can reach injured areas of the body. This reduces pain and speeds the healing process.

FAR INFRARED

The longest wavelength, far infrared (FIR), reaches deepest into the body, where toxins are stored. By raising your core body temperature, FIR stimulates the sweat glands, resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat that leaves you feeling revitalized. Plus, since sweating increases heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate, you’re also burning calories.

Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna Benefits

Weight Loss

Increase metabolism and burn fat. Increasing core body heat increases calorie

burn, similar to exercise. Infrared saunas also help with the elimination of toxins

that cause fat storage.

Heart Health

Improve heart health. Infrared therapy can help your heart work better by exercising

the heart, temporarily reducing blood pressure, and improving circulation.

Anti-Aging

Purify and rejuvenate your skin. Harness a scientifically-proven “fountain of

youth” and revitalize your skin’s appearance. Far infrared waves increase

circulation and detoxify the skin, helping regenerate and cleanse cells.

Immunity

Heating the body from inside can improve the function of the immune system

just like a fever can. Therefore, regular Sunlighten sauna use can help reduce the

incidences of cold and flu, or help you recover faster from illness.

Muscle Recovery

Repair muscles faster. Many professional athletes use Sunlighten saunas to

recover from their training and injuries. Infrared helps deliver more oxygen to

cells for faster repair and pain relief.

Contradictions of Infrared Sauna Use

Do not use if pregnant, have serious inflammation, a fever, a communicable disease, acute bleeding, or intoxicated.

Medications
Individuals who are using prescription drugs should seek the advice of their personal physician or a pharmacist for possible changes in the drugs effect when the body is exposed to infrared waves or elevated body temperature. Diuretics, barbiturates, and beta-blockers may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms. Anticholinergics such as amitriptyline may inhibit sweating and can predispose individuals to heat rash or to a lesser extent, heat stroke. Some over-the-counter drugs, such as antihistamines, may also cause the body to be more prone to heat stroke.

The Elderly
The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily due to circulatory conditions and decreased sweat gland function. The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature. When using with the elderly, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time.

Cardiovascular Conditions
Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems (hypertension / hypotension), congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure should exercise caution when exposed to prolonged heat. Heat stress increases cardiac output and blood flow in an effort to transfer internal body heat to the outside environment via the skin (perspiration) and respiratory system. This takes place primarily due to major changes in the heart rate, which has the potential to increase by thirty (30) beats per minute for each degree increase in core body temperature.

Alcohol / Alcohol Abuse
Contrary to popular belief, it is not advisable to attempt to “sweat out” a hangover. Alcohol intoxication decreases a person’s judgment; therefore, he/she may not realize when the body has a negative reaction to high heat. Alcohol also increases the heart rate, which may be further increased by heat stress.

Chronic Conditions/Diseases
Associated with a Reduced Ability to Sweat or Perspire: Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors and Diabetes with Neuropathy are conditions that are associated with impaired sweating.

Hemophiliacs/Individuals Prone to Bleeding
The use of infrared saunas should be avoided by anyone who is predisposed to bleeding.

Fever
An individual who has a fever should not use an infrared sauna until the fever subsides.

Insensitivity to Heat
An individual with insensitivity to heat should not use an infrared sauna.

Pregnancy
Pregnant women should consult a physician before using an infrared sauna. We do not recommend sauna while pregnant. Breast-feeding mothers should also consult with their doctor.

Menstruation
Heating of the low back area of women during the menstrual period may temporarily increase their menstrual flow.

Joint Injury
If you have a recent (acute) joint injury, it should not be heated for the first 48 hours after an injury or until the swollen symptoms subside. If you have a joint or joints that are chronically hot and swollen, these joints may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind.

Implants
Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared waves and thus are not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you should consult your physician prior to using an infrared sauna.

Pacemaker/Defibrillator
The magnets used to assemble our saunas can interrupt the pacing and inhibit the output of pacemakers.  It is a patron’s obligation to obtain doctor’s permission to use sauna if any implants or electronic devices are present in the body and discuss with him/her risks this may cause. management and staff waves a right to advise on this matter.
